My Future

To me, my future has always seemed like a clouded one to me and now it seems more clouded than ever.

When I was at school I thought I would have a 10 year plan in which I would end up with a degree, walk into my dream job, find myself a husband, have a beautiful house with children and a dog and live a happy life. You’re laughing right now I know! It makes me laugh too, I was definitely a gullible 16 year old!

At 21 years old I am well aware that this will not be the case, and I am totally ok with that. I am nowhere near ready for any of it, but even more so, I never knew what my dream job would be nor have I gained a degree which I thought I would have by now. And do you know what? I am totally ok with that.

It’s now been 6 months since I found out I wouldn’t be graduating and only this year have I come to terms with it. Of course there will always be the questions of what if? What could have been? What will I do with my life? Obviously the first two will never be answered but the answer to the last one is that I will take each day as it comes. There’s not really any other way around it. I’ve learnt that I can’t plan out my future, life just doesn’t work like that and anyway where would be the fun in that?

Mr Sherick’s Shakes | Review

As soon as I received my parcel from Mr Sherick’s Shakes* and opened it, I let out a little squeal of joy (yes, it happened). I knew I was ready for something great to happen and I knew my tastebuds were going to enjoy the luxury of all the shakes.

I do believe that this is the first review I’ve actually done this year so here is a nice little treat for you (I really do mean these are a treat). Make sure to check out their website here.

Each bottle is packed full of deliciousness (yes that’s a word). It has fresh British milk, mixed with the finest of ingredients, giving the most amazing combinations of flavours. In their own words “with a huge amount of passion and a little bit of magic, Mr Sherick is creating heaven in a bottle” and that he is.

Pot Au Choc with Belgian chocolate chips

A rich, luxurious milkshake made with real cocoa and chocolate chips throughout. When I see something like this, I think of my brother who is the ultimate chocoholic, and how much he would love it!

Strawberry Pavlova with real meringue pieces

A beautiful strawberry milkshake made with real strawberries to give it a genuine flavour. This time with real meringue pieces running throughout. I was really intrigued by the meringue pieces and this is so refreshing! It’s almost like a bit of summer in a bottle. I wasn’t as keen on this one as I was the others, I wouldn’t normally go for a strawberry milkshake so I was already a little wary about it.

Softly Banofee with real banana and toffee

A lush banana milkshake mixed with toffee sauce and soft toffee pieces. As you can see this is quite a bright yellow but don’t let this put you off!

A hint of Mint with real mint chocolate chips

This is similar to the Pot Au Choc but with mint chocolate chips instead. Delicious or what? The mint gives it a bit of life and a refreshing nature about it.

Cookies and Cream with real cookies and chocolate chips

An amazing vanilla milkshake packed full with real cookie pieces and chocolate chips. This takes indulgence to a whole new level. The milkshake looks exactly how you would expect it to but the taste is beyond what you can imagine!

The first one that I tried was Pot Au Choc and I thought I was in heaven! I had high expectations of the milkshakes but my expectations were more than exceeded. The rich chocolate milk is so smooth and creamy, not at all watery and you can tell that it has been made with high quality ingredients. What makes it even better is there are mini chocolate chips in which quite literally melt in your mouth. I want another one now.

Cookies and Cream is beyond incredible as well, a delicious vanilla milkshake. Which is all thick and creamy with bits of cookie running through it. De-lish-us. They’ve got some good stuff going on here.

When I found the Hint of Mint milkshake, I wasn’t so sure what to expect, I’m not a huge fan of mint chocolate so I wasn’t sure whether I would enjoy it or not. For the third time, I was really surprised, pleasantly of course. It is literally what the label says, the mint is in the chocolate chips so I found it very enjoyable!

I know you’re all dying to go out and buy your own, so don’t panic, you can! Head to Waitrose where they are £2.19, or a selection of London Food Halls (Harrods, Selfridges and Partridge’s) and Booths.

Love The Current Season | Spring

I wrote a post about what I love about Autumn last year, so I thought it was about time I did another one, seeing as it is a new season and all.

I personally love this time of year, I actually enjoy the rain showers and wrapping up warm. All those layers, scarves and gloves and oversize jumpers.

7 years ago it would have been all about Ugg Boots and Jack Wills. Boy are those days behind me and I’m so glad! It’s all about Primark now!

However, I really don’t enjoy the short hours of daylight and by daylight I mean grey clouds that make me want to hide in bed and do nothing all day.

Although the miserable weather outside means it’s totally acceptable to stay indoors in the warm and do all of my favourite things: blogging, writing, scrapbooking, baking and cooking.

Swings and roundabouts.
