Slimming Solutions Teatox

I’ve recently been using this Teatox* from Slimming Solutions.

Slimming Solutions Teatox

If you’re a regular reader then you will know that I have been leading a much healthier lifestyle and running.

So I also thought it would be a good idea to start this teatox now.

As with any tea detox, the first few days there were a few side effects as expected but I wanted to stick it out as I had heard good things about it.

At the end of the two weeks I felt amazing, I felt like the detox had worked to its full potential. During the teatox, I ate a very healthy diet as I was doing this already, including eat salads and drinking smoothies.

I can’t be certain if I lost weight on the teatox since I was eating healthy anyway!

I’m glad I did this for two weeks and I would definitely do it again in a few months time or after over indulging during Christmas!

Kawaii Box

When this cute little parcel of joy dropped through my letterbox I was so excited!

I opened the Kawaii Box* immediately and found a cute little thank you card and some pretty pink kawaii tissue paper.

Now the main items of the box were so cute, naturally.

This adorable bracelet reminds me of the bead bracelets you would get or make when you were a small child! However I really like this one, the pastel colours are so pretty! Also this colourful Llama keyring is also right up my street. I don’t know what it is about keyring but if someone in my family goes somewhere new, I always get a new one! So this is a cute addition to my collection.

The DIY candy necklace is also another great idea! Making your own necklace out of pieces of candy? Now you’re talking!

This doughnut mirror looks good enough to eat. I actually lost my small mirror so this couldn’t have come at a better time!

An adorable toast coaster was also in the box. It is just too cute! Every time I see it, it make me smile! A great addition to my room.

Does the little mushroom plush not just remind you of the mushrooms in the Mario games? Too cute.

And you cannot go wrong with all this stationary. A tiny rubber to go with the cutest pencils I have ever seen!

A whole pouch of stickers that will be a great addition to my diaries!

Sticky notes in every shape and size means that whatever I need a sticky note for, I will have it.

Last but certainly not least, are these glitter pens with little gems. Now we’re talking! I cannot wait to start using these in cards and in my scrapbooks!

Overall I am seriously impressed with everything that came in this months Kawaii Box. I would 100% get one again as it was so easy to order one and get it sent to the UK!

Mini Lush Haul #2

It’s been a month since I left my job (:() but obviously moving was for the good of my health and career and basically life!

Lush HaulAnyway, when I left, an Australian girl called Laura gave me 3 of her favourite Lush products when I left. Something so simple but one of the most sweetest gifts ever, and hello, Lush products!

She got me the Butterball bath bomb, You’ve Been Mangoed bath melt and Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar.

I’ve had none of these products before so it was really great to try something new!

Lush Haul

I’d been dying to try a bath melt for a few months since Laura mentioned them and since I love mango, to me this smells absolutely divine. Just from the feel of it, you can tell You’ve Been Mangoed is going to be amazing when melted in the bath. It is so smooth and has cocoa butter in it so it is also amazing on the skin.

Lush Haul

Butterball bath bomb isn’t one I have seen before but I feel like it is a hidden gem amongst the hundreds of other products you can get. While this doesn’t create much in the water unlike something like Intergalactic (!), it leaves the skin feeling baby soft and you feel great for ages after.

Lush Haul

The Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar is a product that I haven’t actually considered getting before. But man I wish I had, you smell absolutely incredible, just like strawberries, unsurprisingly it has real crushed strawberries in it! Again, because it has cocoa butter in it, your skin is all soft and smooth. My only negative comment is that is is one that can’t be left in the shower or under running water as it just completely disappears. I prefer to savour my Lush products as I can’t get them so easily so I was a little bit miffed when this one almost disappeared on me.

Obviously, I was completely chuffed when Laura gave me this gift, while it may seem “just Lush products”, it’s a topic we would talk about and recommend products to each other and I told her she had to go to the Oxford Street store!!

A Beginners Guide To Running

If you saw my post last week on taking part in the Too Fat To Run Campaign then you will know that I have started running and doing exercises so I thought I would share what I have been doing with you.

This is totally a beginners guide and I was so unfit to begin with that I thought I would never be able to run a mile.

For the first week I did a 1.2 mile run everyday followed by 3 sets of 4 exercises, including plank, 10 squats, 10 crunches and 10 press ups. These then increased to 15 during the week and 20 by the end of the week.

Even though I was extremely unfit at the beginning of the week, I started to see improvements daily and by the end of the week I was running 2 and a half minutes quicker than the beginning of the week and on my own which meant it was time to step it up a notch.

My 8th run, after 1 rest day, took 17 and a half minutes, my best time yet and a 3 minute improvement since I started only a week ago.

My Top Tips for Beginning Running:

  • Take it slow, think of it as a long race instead of a sprint
  • It’s not going to be easy at first, so be patient
  • As much as I would love things to happen overnight, it doesn’t, keep at it regularly
  • Haters gunna hate, they just wish they were running themselves
  • Keep track of your progress

Soon you’ll be thinking when the next time you can go for a run is!

Do you go running? How did you feel starting out?
