Small Man Media Stationary

I attended the Bloggers Festival last Saturday, which you can read all about here. It was a great day and I met some new friends and great brands too. One in particular was Small Man Media who offer a range of services from product development to PR to photography to…there’s so many to list! But pretty incredible if you ask me.

Small Man Media

They have worked with a number of brands including Nuco, Smiggle, Helix, Maped and Sheaffer. Some exciting stationary brands included there!

Small Man Media were kind enough to share their own goody bags with us, which, as a self-confessed stationary addict, I was extremely excited over!

In my bag I received two Maped items and three Smiggle items.

The Smiggle items included a pack of double-ended felt tip pens which are perfect for on the go and a great range of colours, a cute notebook with a tiger on which is totally going to be used for blog notes and these two cute pink dog erasers.

The two Maped items are Colour’peps Jungle which is 12 felt tip pens in a holder which is flexible to two different ways and has pride position on my desk, and the other item is some mini pencils which are so cute.

I’ve absolutely loved using these stationary items! I also cannot wait for Stationary week at the end of April next year which has been created by Small Man Media!

What is your must-have stationary item?

Baked Courgette Fries and Turkey Burgers

A couple days ago I had the sudden urge to do some cooking. I’ve had a lot on recently and since moving back home I haven’t done as much cooking as I would have liked to. So I flicked through my Hemsley and Hemsley cook book and found these Baked Courgette Fries, I knew I had to make them! I also made turkey burgers for my family and chicken in an Encona BBQ marinade for me!

Turkey Burgers

Baked Courgette Fries

2 Large Courgettes

50g Ground Almonds

30g Parmesan

Some Herbs and Spices

1 Egg

Sea Salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 220C
  2. Slice the ends off the courgettes, halve them and slice each half lengthways. Slice each length into small strips, a bit like french fries. I kept mine a bit larger than french fries, similar to frozen oven chips you get from the shops. Season with sea salt.
  3. Mix the ground almonds, parmesan and herbs and spices in a bowl.
  4. Beat the egg, dip each piece of courgette into the egg, then into the almond, parmesan and spice mix to coat evenly.
  5. Lay the courgette fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Enjoy them with a turkey burger or some chicken!

Prairie Pizzazz Luau Party Edition

So it is finally here, unfortunately much later than everyone else’s but still here.

Prairie Pizzazz

I love the packaging that Prairie Charms always send their products in, it’s always so pretty and has small details added.

Prairie Pizzazz

I had to refrain from literally ripping the box open, #bloggerproblems. Who am I kidding? I couldn’t wait to get into it.

The first thing I saw was the floral Lei, which is so pretty! I love all the pinks, obviously.

I love all the knot ties, especially with the palm trees on! I swear by these knot ties, they are literally all over my room. I find they last so long and don’t rip my hair out like normal hair ties. In fact, I don’t think I own any normal hair ties now!

Prairie Pizzazz

This Faryn Hair Clip with a sea shell on, it is so cute and I feel just like a mermaid wearing it!

The Hana Bow Tie Scrunchie is a pretty pink and right up my street. I have a number of scrunchies now and I love wearing them when I have my hair up to make it a bit nicer!

The anklet is so cute! I would definitely wear this with rolled up jeans and pumps! I like how subtle it is, really my style.

I am completely in love with the tropical punch drink set, I love the flamingo stirrers and I need to find some more of these for next summer! I will definitely be making my kool aid fruity cocktails so stay tuned.

Prairie Pizzazz

The nail glitter is so cute. I love the light pink with hints of blue and golds, I already have the perfect nail varnish for it to go with.

I think this s’more snack pack is absolutely adorable and I cannot wait to make my s’mores, probably after a few too many of those cocktails!

Prairie Pizzazz

Last but not least is the ‘Make A Mess’ confetti. It’s lovely confetti mixed up with pineapples and flamingos, perfect to add in to photos! Or perhaps to make confetti balloons.

Prairie Pizzazz

There’s a few things that I would consider slightly overpriced and wouldn’t buy myself for those prices. However, as before, the box is very good value and the products are always excellent quality.

Check out Prairie Charms on Twitter and Instagram.

Bloggers Festival

I had been umming and ahhing about attending the Bloggers Festival by Scarlett London for some time but a few weeks or so before the event I thought I would find out if there were any space available. To my delight there were!

Fortunately for this event I didn’t have to leave at 6am so even though I should have been able to have a little lie in, I still woke up early from excitement.

I hadn’t entirely decided what to wear as even though I’ve lost quite a lot of weight, I still wasn’t entirely comfortable in a lot of my clothes. In the end I went for a pink dress with a little navy cardigan. Clothes that were once too small for me but now fit!

Before the event, I met Kirsty and we popped in to Tiger to get some bits for our own event in a couple of weeks time plus I miss that place! It’s so good for little bits you might need. Sadly they didn’t have what we needed, gutted!

We then headed over to St. James’ Park to the hotel where the event was taking place. The room was well laid out with brands around the outside of the room, and in the centre was an area for us tired bloggers to sit down and relax.

I met some great brands including Jewellery Box, Lego, Small Man Media, Exuviance and Grace who do some amazing Caribbean foods. I also loved talking to Mode Media who had some incredible ideas and clearly love working with bloggers!

I also loved getting this cute glitter tattoo from Glimmer Tattoos. It’s totally acceptable to have these all the time right?

I cam away with so many treats and goodies that I absolutely cannot wait to try and share with you all.

I’m also pretty sure my family love it when I come back from these events with so much stuff that they can try too!

A huge thank you to Scarlett and everyone who helped her put on such a great afternoon.

I slept like a baby that night after such an exhausting day!
